	Şükrü Okkesim ~~received the~~ B.Sc. ~~degree~~ in ~~electronics engineering and~~ M.Sc. ~~degrees and~~ Ph.D. ~~degree~~ in ~~Biomedical Engineering~~ in 2004, 2006 ~~and~~ 2011, ~~respectively. During his PhD~~, ~~He tried to evaluate the emotional feelings quantitatively using electrophysiological signals of patients who underwent coronary angiography operation~~.		Şükrü Okkesim erhielt den B.Sc.-Abschluss in Elektronikingenieurwesen sowie die M.Sc.-Abschlüsse und den Ph.D.-Abschluss in Biomedizintechnik in den Jahren 2004, 2006 und 2011. Während seiner Promotion versuchte er, die emotionalen Gefühle quantitativ zu bewerten, indem er die elektrophysiologischen Signale von Patienten analysierte, die sich einer Koronarangiographie unterzogen hatten.

	~~After doctoral work, he joined Institute of Biomedical Engineering at~~ Fatih ~~University~~ in Istanbul-~~Turkey~~, ~~as a Lecturer and a Group Leader. This institute only focused on the research and development activities for medical purposes and~~ so ~~He had an opportunity to make several interdisciplinary projects till it closed because of the chaotic situation~~ in ~~Turkey~~.		Nach seiner Promotion trat er dem Institut für Biomedizintechnik an der Fatih Universität in Istanbul, Türkei, als Dozent und Gruppenleiter bei. Dieses Institut konzentrierte sich ausschließlich auf Forschungs- und Entwicklungsaktivitäten für medizinische Zwecke, und so hatte er die Möglichkeit, mehrere interdisziplinäre Projekte durchzuführen, bis es aufgrund der chaotischen Situation in der Türkei geschlossen wurde.

Şükrü Okkesim, der verheiratet ist und zwei Kinder hat, setzt seine wissenschaftlichen Studien am Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS), Universität Freiburg, fort. Derzeit analysiert er Mehrkanaldaten aus Gehirnableitungen und macht sich mit Deep Learning vertraut.

Şükrü Okkesim received the B.Sc. degree in electronics engineering and M.Sc. degrees and Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2004, 2006 and 2011, respectively. After doctoral work, he joined Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Fatih University in Istanbul-Turkey, as a Lecturer and a Group Leader.
